Mission statement
To advance in life and [relieve needs of] [help] young people dealing with serious and/or terminal illness and their siblings/families through:
(a) The provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their and their families conditions of life;
(b) Providing support and activities which support the development of their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society in a comfortable and life enhancing way.
To help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, recreational activities, events and other leisure time activities as the trustees deem fit.
To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 18 years, or 25 years with learning disabilities living in Hertfordshire, Essex and the London Area's by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of educational, support, interest, development and other activities as a means of:
(a) Aiming to enhance and support young people by helping to develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate and take part in society as best as they can;
(b) Developing skills and creativity;
(c) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for young people and their families living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their infirmity, disability or illness with a view to temporarily improving the conditions of life of such persons.
The relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people residing permanently or temporarily hospitalised within Hertfordshire, Essex and the London Area's.
To act as a resource and support service for young people suffering serious illness and/or terminal illness, to act as a support and resource for the above mentioned families.
